Aircraft Twirls Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Shoreline

An aircraft hovering over a well-attended coastal shoreline suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm groves as spectators observed.

Videos uploaded online depict the chopper commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then descending in the direction of the perimeter of the beach, where it gets stuck between palm trees and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.

First Aid Details

Local firefighters reported five people were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on the weekend.

Three people on the street were hurt. Information on their condition were still under review.

The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
