Nottingham Forest head coach Ange Postecoglou maintains that external scrutiny regarding his role will not impact his approach.
The team remains without a victory in his first six matches since the coach took over from Nuno Espirito Santo at the club's stadium.
A group of Forest fans chanted, "you'll be dismissed in the morning", at the ex- Tottenham and Celtic boss following Thursday's 3-2 Europa League defeat at home to the Danish side.
Postecoglou, though, stated that the Europa League trophy he won at Tottenham the previous campaign, prior to being dismissed in the summer, was evidence he does not allow external factors to affect his coaching.
"I don't think about it," he continued. "My duty involves ensuring this football club advances and reaches a position where it can challenge for titles," said Postecoglou.
"Should I begin setting deadlines to that or worry about what is occurring soon then I am not performing the role I have been given.
"I believe it is helpful to anybody. At the end of the day, I have to focus on the atmosphere, the practice sessions, the way we play, and as I mentioned recently, I am remain extremely confident in my conviction that we are not too far away.
"Put it this way - I knew I was getting sacked at Tottenham approximately three or four months prior to I was, but that didn't stop me from securing a trophy."
The 60-year-old moved to Spurs from Celtic in the previous year and supporters initially warmed to the coach for his offensive style of play, with the Londoners ending up fifth in the Premier League during his debut campaign.
Postecoglou's following season was challenging as Spurs ended 17th in the standings. He nevertheless, guide the team to their initial silverware in 17 years as they beat Manchester United in the Europa League final.
Forest travel to Newcastle United on Sunday (14:00 BST).
Amid the poor run of outcomes, there is little doubt it has been a challenging start for Postecoglou.
And the statistics illustrate just how poor Forest have been since his appointment.
Paul Jewell maintains the unenviable mark, having not won any of his first 27 games as Derby County manager in the 2007/08 campaign.
Nuno was dismissed after only three fixtures of this campaign when Forest were 10th in the standings. They are currently seventeenth, having tied once and been defeated twice of their three domestic games under Postecoglou.
He is the initial full-time Forest manager in a century not to secure a victory in his first six matches.
This season could have been one of Nottingham Forest's best in recent times. Entry into Europe for the initial occasion in three decades, the best squad this century and all involved working towards the common goal.
Somehow, currently, that has all gone out of the window. Nuno has left, performances have been poor and on Thursday night the City Ground turned on the new manager Ange Postecoglou after only six matches.
And yet it's typically characteristic Forest, a team that veers from success to self-made disaster like a learner driver who can't stay in a lane.
Amid fixtures against the Magpies, the Blues, the Portuguese side, Bournemouth and Manchester United coming up, it's very hard to say if he can reverse the situation before it becomes even more negative.
But ask any supporter and they'll tell you the same, it's always eventful at Nottingham Forest.
