Two Men Charged for Inmate Homicide of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.

Watkins, 48 years old, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
